Leading Abu Dhabi based contractor require a Senior Procurement Manager with a background in civils / infrastructure projects to oversee the Group of companies. Client is the Abu Dhabi Government so projects are guaranteed.
Position: Senior Procurement Manager
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Key Objectives of the Job:
To exercise overall responsibility and authority for managing the planning and operations of the procurement functions of contracts and purchases, expediting, supplier quality, traffic and logistics, procurement information systems, and personnel to ensure coordination/integration of all procurement activities in Group companies to benefit all parties involved. Ensures that procurement provides functional guidance and assistance in support of Group/company and project activities and provides leadership and functional guidance to the field procurement functions of materials management including receipt, inspection, storage, maintenance, inventory control and issue of equipment, materials and tools. The Procurement Manager will also provide key input to the estimating and proposal processes and ensure a timely, cost effective procurement function for the organization.
Competencies:

Proficiency and experience in the formulation and administration of purchase orders through the several steps of bidder prequalification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award, monitoring the performance of suppliers and buyers, back-charge procedures, resolution of claims and disputes, and other such related steps
Same in technical knowledge of material & services relevant to company’s line of business and projects’ nature including technical specifications, norms, methods & resources and products’ industry and application.
Proficiency in oral and written English.
